Overview

The launch of a powerful new podcast series that opens the door to honest conversations around the stigmas that cloud the nursing profession. This series will bring together voices from the field to explore how we can break the silence, support our colleagues, debunk the myths, and build a culture where healing is possible, and help is within reach.

In this candid and compassionate episode, we explore the often-unspoken realities of substance use disorder (SUD) within the nursing profession. ISNA CEO Dr. Katie Feley, DNP, RN, NE-BC, CAE chats with Tracy Traut, MS, LCAC, Program Director of the Indiana Professional Recovery Program to discuss the signs of SUD, the impact of stigma, and the vital importance of recovery programs that support nurses with dignity and hope. Whether you're a student, nurse, educator, or leader, this conversation sheds light on how we can foster a culture of safety, healing, and accountability—where it’s safe to seek help and recovery is possible.

We invite you to listen, learn, and lead with compassion.
